The Montessori classes at South End School are enabled and supported by the Wairarapa Montessori Charitable Trust. The WMCT does not have a governance role and is not involved in the day-to-day running of class. The school principal manages the school and appoints staff. The Montessori strand lead teacher (Julie Jones) develops and implements the Montessori day-to-day programme, curriculum development and facilitates parent education. The school is governed by South End School’s Board of Trustees.

Donations
The WMCT asks for a termly donation of $325 per child. Discounts are available for families with two or more children. This donation covers extra staffing like teacher aides specialised Montessori equipment and Montessori teacher training.
